Building Better APIs Through Collaboration
Our journey began with a clear challenge: developers were frustrated with creating APIs that went unused, while partners struggled with tools that didn’t meet their needs. To address this, we launched a Continuous Beta Program (Quantitative Unmoderated Usability Testing), fostering collaboration and feedback between partners and our team.
This program allowed partners to test new features through beta endpoints, providing real-time feedback that we prioritized in development sprints. For example, the Deals API Beta offered partners access to over 400,000 deals, enabling them to innovate faster without waiting for traditional version releases. Similarly, the 3rd Party Auth PSD2 Beta ensured compliance with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), giving partners flexibility and peace of mind.
With tools like New Relic and Tableau dashboards, we monitored adoption and iterated quickly. The results? Shortened time-to-market, improved partner satisfaction, and a culture of continuous learning. By focusing on feedback, we transformed our APIs into tools that developers love and partners rely on.
